Marine Corps Marathon | 2 OR 3 NIGHT PACKAGE

$289/night + tax

"The Marine Corps Marathon is a prestigious race held in our country's capital. While there, we'll check out a few of D.C.'s dozens of monuments, museums, and fine dining options. DC is a great place to experience history, and make it (if you're going for a PR)"

Schedule

Friday

Oct. 25th

Friday will be our first day in the bustling city of D.C. Come to our all-suite hotel at your convenience and don't forget to grab your "DM" goodie bag! After all, who doesn't love a good goodie bag?

3:00 PM  Check in opens.

3:00 - 5:00 PM  Drop in meet and greet with the DM team in lobby

4:00 - 6:00 PM  Meet in lobby to be shuttled to and from expo for packet pick up

5:00 PM  Check out one of our partner restaurants in Arlington (you'll receive a coupon book to some local favorites), or check out one of D.C.'s many restaurants!

8:00 PM  DM movie night begins in hotel (location TBD)

Saturday

Oct. 26th

Don't let pre-marathon jitters stop you from exploring! With so much to see and do in D.C., it would be hard to sit still! Ask one of your guides for recommendations in the area, or check out our article for 12 fun and unique ideas: "12 Unique Things to do in DC over Marine Corps Marathon Weekend"

7:00 AM  Shake out run led by Paul Martino around the Arlington Cemetery (meet in lobby at 7am)

9:00-10:30 AM   Meet in lobby to be shuttled to DC. The 2 mile walk to DC is stunning and you'll catch a couple monuments along the way, but you're running a marathon - we get that you might want to save that leg energy. (shuttle will drop off at the DC War Memorial next to the reflecting pool)

1:00 - 4:00 PM  Shuttle to and from race expo (meet in lobby)

5:00 PM  Pre-race pasta dinner

9:00 PM  Time to see how much sleep we all will (or will not) get!

Sunday

Oct. 27th

Sunday is race day! Make sure to drop your gear off with us in the lobby so you can forgo long gear-check lines (unless you're into that sort of thing. If so, power to you!). See the Marine Corps Marathon official race info HERE.

5:30 - 6:00 AM  Gear bag drop in lobby with DM team

7:55 AM   Race start time

12:00 - 3:00 PM  Meet DM team after race to get gear

Phew, we made it. Where's the beer?

12:00 PM   Hotel check out

Robert McBee, Boston 2019

Last year I froze while sitting in Athletes Village in the rain for over two hours. This year I stayed warm and dry thanks to Destination Marathons. My bags were waiting for me for easy pick up after the race.
